A lead-generation platform for trade services that can't afford to be ignored

GreaseTrapQuotes is a lead-generation business specialising in compliance-heavy trade services. Today the focus is grease trap cleaning across the Sydney metro. The same playbook applies to the next niche we move into.

What we do

We run quote-comparison platforms for trade services that sit at the intersection of three things: real regulatory stakes, fragmented contractor supply, and an awkward buying process that wastes hours of phone tag for every venue owner.

Grease trap cleaning hits all three. The fines reach $11,000 per offence. Sydney Water audits unannounced. Most venues end up rebooking whoever was in the trap cleaner's diary last time, paying whatever they're quoted, with no idea whether the price is fair.

Our job is to fix the buying process: one form, three quotes from pre-screened licensed contractors, typically same business day.

How the platform works

  1. The venue submits a quote request via the 60-second form or the 24/7 AI receptionist on 02 8880 5992. Address, trap details, contact information.
  2. Our matching system routes the request to up to three licensed contractors covering that postcode. For Sydney, that's 21 named service zones and 222 postcodes mapped to real contractor coverage.
  3. The contractors quote directly. The venue compares, picks, and books. We never quote the work ourselves because we don't do the work ourselves.
  4. Free for venues, always. Contractors pay a small lead fee only when they accept a job. No subscription, no minimums, no marketing tax.

Why this niche, why now

Sydney Water rolled out Wastesafe, an electronic system that tracks every grease trap pump-out across the metro and logs it against the venue's trade waste account. The compliance bar moved from "did you fill in the paperwork" to "is there an electronic record of every clean".

That shift made the licensed-transporter rule biting in a way it wasn't before. It also made the value of running a network of pre-screened licensed contractors a lot more obvious. Both sides benefit from a clean digital trail.

What we look for in a contractor

  • Current Sydney Water Wastesafe transporter licence
  • Active EPA accreditation
  • Public liability insurance
  • A real customer service standard, not just a truck
  • Willingness to quote honestly and quickly

We do the checks once, so the venue doesn't have to.

The wider thesis

Trade services with this exact shape — real compliance stakes, fragmented supply, awkward buying — exist across Australia in dozens of categories. Pest control, plumbing for trade waste, food-safety auditing, refrigeration servicing, and several others share the pattern.

GreaseTrapQuotes is the proof-of-concept. The technology, the contractor onboarding, the lead routing and the compliance content all generalise. We're building the playbook here.

Who runs it

The platform is operated by M.S. Project Zeus CY Limited, a Cyprus-registered company (registration HE 430641). Australian operations run out of Sydney, with the network of licensed contractors covering 21 service zones across the Sydney metro and reaching into the Central Coast and the lower Blue Mountains.

Customer-facing contact is 02 8880 5992 (Sydney landline, AI-answered with human escalation), or email hello@greasetrapquotes.com.
